Threats to Homeland Security presents students with an integrated approach toward security studies and the continuing challenges to the United States through both an academic and practical lens. Providing an interdisciplinary perspective, based on the experiences of the authors who represent diverse disciplines—from political science, public administration and health to security studies, military defense, environmental health and emergency planning—learners gain a comprehensive understanding of terrorism and disasters, the threats posed by each, the responses to those threats, as well as those that we will continue to face in the future.
