Each time students access a CATALYST assignment, they are given a set of problems where a concept is represented symbolically, numerically or visually. These multiple representations challenge students’ conceptual understanding, requiring them to make connections and solve the problems, regardless of the presentation.

CATALYST was developed by Dr. Patrick Wegner (California State University, Fullerton) to promote conceptual understanding and visualization of chemical phenomena.

Content in CATALYST is textbook independent and therefore it can be offered with any Wiley Introductory or General Chemistry textbook at no additional cost, or with any non-Wiley text for $35. Please see your local Wiley representative for a demonstration or additional information.
