JOHN SOMMERS-FLANAGAN, PhD, is a clinical psychologist in independent practice, Assistant Professor in Counselor Education at the University of Montana, and a mental health consultant with Trapper Creek Job Corps.
RITA SOMMERS-FLANAGAN, PhD, is Professor of Counseling and Director of Women’s Studies at the University of Montana.
John and Rita have coauthored several books, including Clinical Interviewing, Third Edition (Wiley). As full-time faculty, their books grow out of a need for approachable, relevant teaching materials. They also enjoy a national reputation as effective, entertaining presenters of their research and clinical work.
