The goal of Biogeography is to build an understanding of biogeography as a unified science studying how environment, space and time interact to control the large-scale distribution of organisms.

Biogeography is a course taken by geography and biology majors in either the geography or biology departments. This book can be used for these courses which can be offered in either department.
