Description

Written for a one semester course in Sensation and
Perception at the Junior/Senior/Grad level, this book
combines sensation and perception with all
biological-sensory aspects of perception covered from an
evolutionary point of view. The text raises the key question:
How do the senses gather and secure information about the
outside world? The authors address this basic question by
explaining how the physical world interacts with and
stimulates the senses, and, in turn, how the senses and the
nervous system transform, integrate, and process the
stimulation. No specialized background beyond a basic
course in psychology is assumed.
