Description

The primary goal of these materials is to increase the effectiveness of a general education physics course for non-science majors, as well as making the classroom more enjoyable for students. This is accomplished with activity-based inquiry into common, natural phenomena. Traditionally, courses for non-science majors cover an extremely large number of topics in an absurdly short time. This encourages students to simply memorize facts and formulae. Explorations in Physics engages students in deeper study of fewer topics and is designed to foster an understanding of the scientific process.
