Description
The first edition of Chromatography: Concepts and Contrasts, published in 1988, was one of the first books to discuss all the different types of chromatography under one cover and is still very popular today. The second edition includes new chapters on sampling and sample preparation; capillary electrophoresis and capillary electrochromatography (CEC), chromatography with mass spec detection; and industrial and governmental practices in regulated industries. The author discusses extraction, solid phase extraction (SPE), solid phase microextraction (SPME), and introduces mass spectrometry to the reader. All of the chapters have been updated with the latest techniques in chromatography to-date. This book is ideal for an upper-level course for chemistry majors and is a great guide for industrial analysts.
