"The authors have another winner. I have used this text since the second edition and have always found it to be current and informative. It is well suited to our MIS students."
-David Dunn, Northwestern College
"I have adopted this text for my operating systems course. I am happy with the change (we formerly used Stallings) because I feel that the book is much more up to date and well-written. Thank you!"
- Christine Kiel, University of Toledo @ LCCC
"This book has been written by men of great wisdon and understanding."
- Benjamin Chanda, NORTEC
"I'm using it! Chapters 1 and 2 are vastly improved over previous editions. Previous editions, however, were significantly better than any other textbook on the market. I particularly like the descriptions of runtime features, such as the systems library calls, and interrupt implementations. More descriptive information concerning runtime activities helps make the operating system come alive.
