Interactions is a series of CD-ROMs focusing on the examination of physiological processes within each system of the body, using animations and interactivity to enhance student understanding. There is a great deal more to Interactions than your usual A&P CD-ROM. At the heart of Interactions is a focus on core principles - homeostasis; communication; energy flow; fluid flow; and boundaries -- that underscore the key relationships between structure and function as well as interrelationships between systems. It is the reinforcement of these fundamental organizing principles, to which a variety of processes and concepts for each system is attached, that sets this series of CDs apart from others.
Disease Resistance provides students with a basic knowledge of the structures and functions of the lymphatic, integumentary, and immune systems. It lays the groundwork for understanding of how these systems work together to protect the human body from disruptions to homeostasis.
