Description
Since inventing the constructal theory of design optimization in the early 1990s, Adrian Bejan has gained credibility and notoriety in a number of diverse areas covering both engineering and scientific design.  The theory is used to understand, calculate, and ultimately generate, the irregular designs found in nature (trees, lightening, river deltas, etc.) and incorporate these designs in human-made systems to optimize the function of the system.  The proposed book will be the first book by Bejan to discuss and present the applications of this theory.  The book will be written for a course now offered at Duke University and a number of others around the world.
