Description
Geometry Out Loud is the second in a series of three books created for mathematics instructors at the late middle and early secondary school level. This book fosters and promotes "math talk" in geometry classrooms, meaning that it offers math teachers "communication" skills as a way to imporve literacy AND numeracy.

Some of the best "teachable" moments occur when the classroom is abuzz with students talking to each other about mathematics. This book offers activities, strategies, and ideas to foster that communication--and with it, an understanding of geometric principles.

It specifically supports the NCTM (National Council of Teachers of Mathematics) in their standards on mathematical communications.
