In this book, the Harvard Change Leadership Group (CLG) provides educational leaders with the concepts and tools they need to bring about system-wide change in schools.  Pulling together the best of what we know about organizational and individual transformation, the book offers a "personal training" regime for change leaders. 

More often than not, change in schools happen in piecemeal fashion in reaction to external mandates or crises.  In contrast, the CLG approach requires a strategic approach to change, team-centered collaboration and accountability, and a focus on adult development that encourages the release of creative energies at all levels of the system. 

This book also presents the means to implementing change -- providing the tools and case examples to help leaders deal more effectively with instruction, curriculum, bureaucracy, and  the system-at-large.
